General, Personal, Privacy, and Correction requests submitted under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act to the Government of Alberta and supported Agencies, Boards, and Commissions, are coordinated to ensure activities are timely, accurate, and complete in order to streamline consistent and efficient processes for FOIP Operations by:
- Monitoring all requests received via hard copy and the FOIP System Public Portal.

Job Description:-
The Province requires up to two (2) Digital Architect(s) - Data, to work with 3D on service innovation, program review and digital transformation projects across. These teams, led by product owners and 3D work collaboratively and collectively participate in a full range of activities including: field research, backlog definition and refinement, and sprint planning and execution. A Digital Architect provides architectural expertise and strategic guidance and is responsible for overseeing the software architecture of digital services, the alignment of services to a common architecture vision, and the iterative delivery of solutions to create a complete digital service. As the senior technical resource on the team, the Digital Architect(s) -Data will guide the team in the rapid, iterative delivery of user-centric services with solution designs that align to the overall architectural vision and are in support of technical standards, coding standards, common tools and platforms. Duties:
The primary responsibilities for this role are (but not limited to):
• Lead system implementation and design and architecture for the development, enhancements, and maintenance of Cloud Data Platforms (Azure, Snowflake. Databricks) and other key data platforms (Open Government portal, Cloudera, etc.) to ensure the system design meets business requirements.
• Support the design and build scalable and reliable data infrastructure, tooling, CI/CD pipelines to improve GoA’s data product delivery, analytics and data science teams using cloud (Azure) and big data technologies.
• Deliver data platform management and administration, in alignment with the organization's strategic goals, to manage, govern, and integrate data within government.
• Configure and tune cloud-based tools to manage cost, security, and compliance for the environments. Working across a myriad of technology stacks in Azure, Cloudera, Snowflake etc.
• Provide services to support data privacy and security in adherence to enterprise policies (access control, security policies across platforms, etc.).
• Collaboration with other Team members to improve and optimize Cloud and On-premise Infrastructure systems in non-functional perspective: scalability, reliability, performance, capacity, availability and disaster recovery.

Equipment requirements:
Resource will require own equipment.
Resource must provide their own computer and related equipment. The computer's operating system must be a modern version of Windows or MacOS that is compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and related software for remote access. Windows is preferred due to better compatibility. AVD/remote-related software will be installed on the resource's computer.
In the event that the Contractor’s resources are directed to work remotely, the Contractor shall be responsible for providing all of its equipment, including computers, software, printers, supplies, desks and chairs. However, the Province shall ensure that the Contractor’s resources have the necessary access and credentials to the Government of Alberta’s system.
Working Hours:
• Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays observed by the Province
• Resource must be able to work evenings and/or weekends and/or during block time/change windows outside of normal business hours.
• Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues.
• The role will be primarily remote, however in the event of an onsite meeting, the GoA does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings, nor any expenses related to relocation, commuting, housing/accommodation, food/drink.
Notes on Location:
Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required.
Onsite meetings include but are not limited to strategic, architectural, and technical discussions, meeting with team members, senior managers, directors, executive directors and business clients. Frequency of meeting could be up to 3-4 times per fiscal year. Actual onsite attendance may be negotiable, particularly if resource lives outside Alberta.
